My work focuses on breaking down issues in housing, climate and energy, transportation, and economic development, to be broadly accessible both to policymakers and the general public.
Hi, I’m Ben, an urban planner who specializes in helping organizations enhance the ways they communicate with, engage, and serve urban communities. My work focuses on breaking down issues in housing, climate and energy, transportation, and economic development, to be broadly accessible both to policymakers and the general public.
I am currently serving as a consultant with the Urban Manufacturing Alliance to help guide the organization’s rebrand and new website launch with the goal of positioning manufacturing as a centerpiece of building more equitable, resilient communities. Prior to that, I led communications at Pratt Center for Community Development, where I helped move the needle on efforts to legalize basement apartments, reduce emissions in older buildings, and expand support for community land trusts in New York City.
I love creating opportunities for people to learn about their city, and to conspire together to create a greener, happier, more equitable future for their communities. I’m eager to join a mission-driven team or organization that’s using creative strategies to advance solutions to our greatest challenges, amplify often overlooked voices, and influence public perception.
